The Hotel del Coronado, the Victorian masterpiece that is the centerpiece of Coronado Island, takes full advantage of its breathtaking oceanfront location. Surfing classes and rentals are available year-round. Bikes for all ages, surreys and deuce coupes are also available for rent. The Recreation Department offers the Coronado on Wheels Bike Tour, a two-hour guided tour of historic Coronado. The Del’s fitness instructors teach fun classes such as core strengthening, total body conditioning and Yoga. And, Tent City Kids’ camp includes bonfires, s’mores roasts, seashore scavenger hunts, sandcastle competitions, beachfront kite flying and more.
